It is a 9 month, online class beginning January 1, 2024 and includes all materials.  Full details can be found at https://katie-strachan.com/pyn-pillow but the class covers the making and stitching of this piece in detail, and can be successfully stitched by a motivated beginner.  The lessons are comprehensive and do not assume prior embroidery knowledge - everything from how to start and stop your thread, handle specialty materials like GST, and the finer points of shading with long and short stitch are covered.

And the piece that inspired my own rose panel was the Bodenham Chalice Veil, stitched by Helena Wintour.  She was a close relation of one of the Guy Fawkes conspirators and suffered socially for it, withdrawing from society and stitching instead.  She produced a wonderful trove of exquisitely worked ecclesiastical vestments that mixed metal and silk threads. The photo I showed was from the exhibition book, Plots and Spangles.  It is now out of print, but if you can find it it is full of fabulous eye candy.
