Flosstube 18 - Stitchy kindnesses old and new! A finish, a start, my wips and end-of-days reading!

Summary AI

Margaret, host of Maggieloux Stitches, shares a mix of heritage stitching stories, WIP progress, and book recommendations. She begins by showing a needle book and pincushions made by her 92-year-old mother from the 1987 book 'Linen Stitches' by Ginnie Thompson, and recounts finding a wedding sampler stitched by her friend Lisa in 1994 after it was lost for years. She then presents a finish and updates on all her WIPs, including a new full-coverage start for her niece.

Margaret shows her finish of 'Among Black Cats' by RTO, and progresses on projects like 'Tall Birds' by Durene Jones, a BTS portrait, a whale SAL, and several kits. She also introduces a new start, 'Aquarius' by Inky Joy Creations, charted by Stitches Sew Beautiful. Throughout, she discusses her stitching rotation and the fabrics and threads she uses.

She shares stitchy kindness from a giveaway win of seasonal angel patterns by Sharon Duncan of Stitch Doodle, and gives a shoutout to Rachel of The Stitching Knitter. The video concludes with Margaret discussing audiobooks she listened to while stitching, including 'Station Eleven' by Emily St John Mandel, 'We Burned So Bright' by TJ Klune, and a book by Niall Williams, and ends with photographs by her husband Matt.

Description from YouTube
Hi everyone!

Today I begin by showing you some stitching kindness I've unearthed from the '90s, then show you a finish, and take you through the progress of all my wips over the last six weeks, including a new full coverage start.

I speak about the books I've been listening to as I stitched, and present some more of the Perth local environment through my husband Matt's photography.

Enjoy, and as always, thanks for watching!
