The Sparkling Sweet Bag is a 3 month class, cost $300, beginning February 1
The kit includes everything needed to create the sweet bag excepting a Bohin fine tip chalk pencil (available separately, or from the LNS of your choice) and a frame. Choosing and using a frame will be covered extensively in the first lesson.
You'll receive the luscious Italian duchesse silk satin, coordinating silk taffeta for the lining, custom made braid, full spools of all silk threads used, a full spool of gilt tambour thread, and all other materials used, ranging from beads to crystals to gilt passing threads. All needles used are also included in your kit.
The instructions will cover every detail of the embroidery and finishing. This class is beginner friendly and relies on fabulous materials rather than more advanced techniques to produce the piece.
Queen Anne's Pyn Pillow will be running for the last time and is a 9 month class beginning February 1, cost $425
All materials needed to work the Pyn Pillow are included in the class kit with the exception of the frame to work it in (and like with the Sweet bag, this is extensively covered in the first lesson): a 25g spool of silver 9drm tambour for the background, full spools of Soie de Paris, Soie Surfine, Soie Ovale, and Gilt Sylke Twist in a color exclusive to Katie Strachan Artisan Embroidery.
The Pyn Pillow is a more ambitious project than the sweet bag, but a truly spectacular finish with the glittering silver background. The course does not assume any prior embroidery knowledge and a sufficiently ambitious beginner can work the piece.
Full kit unboxings will be on the next flosstube, and registration will open on September 15: katie-strachan.com/shop

Super useful, very ugly browns that every 100/3 stitcher should have: 129 and 616
Storage: I wasn't able to locate the exact product I purchased for my own thread storage, but they're acrylic drawer sets, dimensions approx 14.75" x 8.25" x 4.5" H and I bought them on Amazon. I have sets for each spooled thread line that allows me to organize by shade as shown with my brown drawer.
