With Soie Ovale 741 in cut turkey stitch for the thistle heads.  If you'd like to try cut turkey stitch, I'd recommend Soie d'Alger in 741, as it's much easier to work with than Ovale.  If you want to work the thistle heads as charted, Soie Gobelins 741.

And I used Miyuki size 15/0 beads, color 1889 for my beaded bow on Christmas Tea, available from Caravan Beads

My beaded basket was made almost entirely with antique beads averaging 35 beads to the inch, sourced over several years, and measures about 9" x 11" x 2.75".  It contains 389 separately worked pieces and was inspired by the 17th century original in the Corning Museum of Glass: https://www.cmog.org/artwork/beaded-basket-depicting-couple
