Cross Stitch Terms included in this video: Blackwork: Blackwork stitching is a counted-thread embroidery technique traditionally done in black thread. It was typically done in a double running stitch which allows the design to be reversible, appearing the same on both the front and back of the fabric. This stitching was done on clothing where both sides of the cloth might be visible. Today many designers use it to add straight (non-cross) stitches to patterns. It can be done in any color these days! FFO: stands for Fully Finished Object. There's completing the pattern AND finishing the project to the point where it is ready to display. FFOs typically refer to that fully finished piece, not just the completion of a pattern.
