Quilt featured in this FlossTube is my interpretation of a wall hanging I saw on Pinterest😊. I made this fin 2014 or a friend who is very active with a cat rescue in Cary, NC.  They have an annual fundraiser live auction and silent auction.  We attended and Peter won the bid on my quilt.  What a fun memory!!

Current FFO’s:

Peter shares a maple and mahogany bowl that he just finished.  It turned out so beautifully!!  He also shared a round bowl with a square accent lip and a square bowl with a round center.  How creative!!  Both are from spalted oak wood that has so much character.

Kathy fully finished two stitches.  The first was “All Joys for Thine” by Blackbird Designs.  This was to commemorate our wedding anniversary. The second was “Quaker Pumpkins” by Hello from Liz Matthews finished into a big drum.  This was so much fun and my first official drum. Kathy’s FO’s:

• “Welcome Autumn” by The Drawn Thread.  This came as a kit.  Enjoyed every single stitch and the specialty stitches, too.  So nice to meet one of my WIPGO22 stitches for November
• “Prairie Birds” by Prairie Schooler.  The precious little hummingbird was finished. So far that makes eight.  Planning to stitch the last two someday soon.  This one is also one of my WIPGO22 stitched for November.

• Western Red Cedar 3-hole Spool, smells so wonderful!!
• Acorn mini scissor holders and Christmas ornaments, so cute😊
• Snowmen, mini bee skeps and spools for zipper pulls for upcoming project bags
• Upcoming surprise secret release in January 2023

Kathy has been working on four WIP’s:

• “Christmas Rules” by Primrose Cottage Stitched. This is a SAL with Terri and Jamie of Cornhusker State Stitchers split into eight very doable parts.  We hope to have finished by Christmas!!  Stitched on 40 Ct Stormy Night with called for flosses. #christmasrulesSAL
• “Mini Bouquet Sampler” by Jeanette Douglas Designs stitched on 36 Ct Stars Hollow by R&R with DMC conversion.  This is a free monthly SAL that began in January ’22 and ending December. #jddminibouquetsal   Free charts are available on her blog this year only, ending in December.  What a gracious and beautiful designer!!
• “Joyful World – August” by SnowFlower Diaries.  This was a SAL from 2016.  Charts are still available on their blog.  Stitching this on 36 Ct Sparkling Grape by Grace Notes with the DMC conversion.
• Completed the second of six quilt blocks in my “Firm Foundation” wall hanging by My Wandering Path.  Love it!!

Plans:

Peter is planning to work on more spools made from new Basswood we found in 4x4 blanks, Christmas ornaments and the secret project releasing in January!

Kathy plans on getting caught up on WIPGO 2022, concentrating on “Christmas Garden”, “Prairie Schooler – Prairie Birds”, stitching part 5 of Christmas Rules SAL.  I would like to select a special stitch for a birthday start on December 10th.  Planning is in my future in preparation for WIPGO23

30 Drawer multi-purpose storage cabinet, stackable and able to wall mount if desired.
Peter purchased two for me and they are working beautifully for my Vikki Clayton Silks storage.
