Watch me stitch an apple in my favorite embroidery hoop using the sewing method. In typical me fashion, I don’t stick to one way but interchange between the three methods I know without realizing I do. I suppose this demonstrates there are no set rules in cross stitch. Stitch whatever works for you! I start and stop with a pintuck. Recently I have been adding a few extra tucks to my finish for my own ease of mind but it certainly is not necessary. The pattern is The Village of Hawk Run Hollow stitched on a 40 count Lakeside linen. I’m stitching with a Bohin size 28 needle and using NPI silks.
