Description from YouTube
🧵 Flosstube update time! In this episode of the Stitchuation Room I’m sharing everything I worked on this month across cross stitch, knitting, quilting, and reading, along with a few life updates along the way. If you enjoy Flosstube WIP updates, stitching progress, and cozy craft chat, settle in with your project and stitch with me.

I walk through all of my cross stitch WIPs, including progress on WIPGo, updates on the Fox & Rabbit Mystery SAL, and several ongoing projects like After the Roses, Come Back With a Warrant, Pennsylvania, and my William Morris pillow cover. I also talk about some inspirational stitching I’ve been focusing on lately and the piece that currently has my attention, Data Portraits in Paris. This stitch along is based on W.E.B. Du Bois’ groundbreaking data visualizations created for the 1900 World’s Fair in Paris. The work illustrated the realities of Black life in the United States during the post Reconstruction era at a time when those stories were being erased and suppressed.

There’s also plenty of crafting beyond cross stitch this month. I finished a knitting project, started a new hat, and share progress on my boyfriend’s Dude sweater. On the quilting side, I’m continuing to build out the Stitchuation Room, my dedicated crafting space, and I share a video update of how that’s coming together.

As always there is book talk too. I share what I finished reading, what I’m currently reading, and how my yearly reading challenge is going. Let’s just say Flosstube may be slowing my reading pace a little. This month includes some Discworld, a literary classic retelling, and a couple thrift store finds waiting in the wings.

I also take a moment to highlight a fundraiser supporting Emilee Gomske, a songwriter and member of our cross-stitch community who was severely injured in a car accident. If you’re able, please consider donating or helping by streaming the song her siblings recorded to support her recovery. Links are below.

At the end of the episode I show the Spreadsheet of Amazing, the tracking system I use for stitching analytics and progress tracking. If you’re a fellow data nerd, I’ll be sharing it for free in March.

And of course we finish by spinning the Wheel of Stitchery to see what project gets attention next. 🎡

Grab your stitching and come hang out for some cozy craft time.
