the weekly apology adds:
my voice is worse today cause we got a Ninja Creami this week and that thing is loud. we used it every day since we got it and people basically insist on keeping up the conversations when it's working so we had to basically yell at each other to hear. 
we live on top of a valley and acoustics make it so that any vehicle that goes through the top (bridge) or bottom (tunnel) of the valley can be heard in the house. that goes double for any emergency vehicles that seem to go around those places constantly (the tunnel is connected to a main road).
