FlossTube #18 - October 17th, ‘23
Welcome to our FlossTube channel where you will hear mainly about my cross stitching and Peter’s wood turning but also about other goodies like quilting and possibly painting. In this video you will get a chance to meet Leo, our new fur-kid!  What a joy he is!!
We have so much news to share with you since our last visit.  Stay tuned for WIP’s a couple of finishes, stitchy kindness and of course haul.  Plus, upcoming plans.
Kathy’s STATS: Since our last visit on September 25th, I have three WIP’s, two New Starts, four FO’s and four FFO’s that I would like to share with you. 
Kathy’s WIP’s & New Starts & FO’s:
• My Sunday Stitch – from Beth Twist of Heartstrings Samplery Series Sunday Stitches – Blessed Assurance.  This was part of my MAYNIA ’23 starts.  It is being stitched on 40 Ct Flax with the called for floss. 
• The next WIP was my second WIPGO call #1 from September that I still needed one days’ worth of stitching to complete my goal. Antique Rooster Sampler by JBW Designs – Judy Whitman.  This is being stitched on 32 Ct Weeks Dye Works Linen in the color Linen with Classic Colorworks Cupid floss, 2 over 2. This was my Winter Cross Stitch Camp 2021 piece with Sheri – The Colorado Cross Stitcher on FlossTube.  
• My next piece stitched was a New Start – Foxwood Crossings Snowy Visitors. This is being stitched on 14 Ct Perforated Paper with called for DMC Floss.  I was able to complete, FO, two out of the four in the chart.  What fun!!  I’m using part of my HAUL to stitch this on and I can’t wait to show it to you.  It is this wonderful frame to hold your paper securely while you stitch.  It is from Wonderland Crafts from the Ukraine.  I will link their Etsy shop below in the description box.  My order came very fast considering they’re overseas.  I heard about these amazing frames from Olga at the Pacific Northwest Stitch Summitt.  She was using one and everybody went gaga over it.  Olga also has a FlossTube channel by the name of PNW Stitcher.
• Harvest Tiny Town by Heart In Hand – Cecilia Turner. It is being stitched on 36 Ct Vintage Country Mocha – the called for with the called for floss.  
• My next stitch is a New Start and an FO.  It is Harvest Frill by Heart In Hand – Cecilia Turner.  It is being stitched on 36 Ct Vintage Country Mocha with the called for floss.
• Only quilting WIP is that I made the binding for our 1930’s King size quilt.
Kathy’s FFO’s:
• Fully Finished my Prairie Schooler – Prairie Birds and did a video on how I finished.  I will link it below but please be kind.  I’ve never done this before and had quite a time, many guffaws, and mistakes but it is done!  Yay!! This was stitched on 28 Ct Lambswood with called for DMC. • Fully finished Eliza’s French Birds by JBW Designs – Judy Whitman.  This was stitched on 36 Ct Latte by Seraphim with called for floss except subbed 760 for 761.
• Fully finished Field Mouse House by Brenda Gervais on a Pumpkin wire hanger from Ackfeld Manufacturing and used Moda fabrics to accent piece.
• Fully finished 13 Blackbird Designs Project Bags!!
