How to verify you are a public subscriber to a YouTube channel

On desktop:
Sign in to YouTube.
Click your profile icon and choose Settings.
In the left sidebar, select Privacy.
Under Playlist and subscriptions, turn off (untoggle) “Keep all my subscriptions private.” 

On mobile (iOS/Android):
Open the YouTube app and sign in.
Tap your profile icon → Your channel.
Tap the settings (pencil) icon.
Under Privacy, disable “Keep all my subscriptions private.”
